A Non-Profit 501 (C) (3) Association
Animal Advocates of North Texas (AANT) was founded in 2008 by a group of animal lovers who came together to assist shelters and rescue groups. Aware that shelter budgets are often insufficient to cover animals' basic medical and emergency care in a timely manner, the group felt compelled to work together towards a solution.
AANT is now on Facebook. Click on the Facebook logo at the foot of the page. Like us and keep up to date with our news.
AANT's intent and purpose is to prevent animal cruelty and neglect, reduce the euthanasia rate of healthy animals in shelters and develop a network to increase the placement of homeless and abandoned animals into permanent, loving homes.
Focus is placed on increasing public awareness of the situation facing homeless animals and providing vaccines and medication to sick animals.
Activities to date include actively volunteering at local shelters, organizing fundraising activities and hosting adoption events. Visit our Newsletter Archives for information on some of our activities.
This Saturday, October 18, 2014, we will be participating in a mega adoption event at Grapevine Mills mall. Come along and meet some great adoptable animals. AANT will be there on Saturday only but the event will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am-6 pm.
